If you want to burn data for safekeeping or to pass along to someone else, then the simplest way is to use Windows 10’s File Explorer utility. You’ll spend around $15 for a 100 CD-R spindle from a reputable manufacturer like Verbatim.įinally, give some thought to what you want to burn to your CD. Stick with CD recordable (CD-R) discs to be sure your CDs will be supported on any hardware. You’ll spend about $20 for an internal CD/DVD combo drive or an external CD/DVD combo drive ($29). You can also use an external USB drive, which is handy for a notebook that doesn’t have a CD or DVD drive. Seems crazy for Ricoh of all bodies not to fully support their own DNGs, lol (lol Ricoh, not dandydon1's misfortune). But still it processes GRIII/x DNGs very well because they are DNG files, and that's the point of DNG, common raw format. I use Apple's Aperture to process raws, written in 2005 and discontinued by Apple in 2015. You're probably right, but it's still wrong, if you see what I mean. Probably it doesn't support GR3 raw files. Attached is a screenshot.ĭCU5 was distributed with the GR2.

I wonder why the DCU5 fails to open my GR3 RAW DNG files. For example, it was much better at getting nice white balanced night photos than some commercial software I have. It does provide some profiles with suggestive names but they are very different from the in-camera colors.īut the software is actually quite good. Curious to know if the software offers ricoh profiles (bleach bypass, high contrast BnW, etc.)? These profiles not available from lightroom.
